It was stated that men who want to have baby should stay away from coke.
Gynecologist and IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) Specialist Assoc. Prof Dr. Hakan Çoksüer stated that coke consumption causes infertility for men.
In a hospital room, Gynecologist and IVF Specialist Assoc. Dr. Hakan Çoksüer explained some facts about coke consumption. Stating that coke consumption occupies more space in an individual’s life than estimated, Assoc. Dr. Çoksüer said that coke is often preferred by kids, young children and elder people.
Assoc. Dr. Çoksüer said that well-loved coke has harms as well and he continued: “Glycose syrup in coke may cause high blood pressure and high cholesterol problems. Moreover, it causes kidney diseases, bone diseases, asthma and tooth problems. Consuming excess amount of coke may decrease the amount and the quality of sperm and cause infertility.”
Emphasizing the situation that even the known part of the content of coke, the most commonly consumed beverage in the world, was found extremely dangerous after research, Assoc. Dr. Çoksüer continued: “In a new study, it was claimed that coke decreases sperm amount in men. By disrupting testosterone hormone balance in men, coke decreases sperm amount and sperm mobility considerably.”
And this affects productivity in men as well. As it contains excess amount of sugar, coke may cause obesity, too. It was found by studies that sperm amount of obese men is 15% less compared to normal-weight men. Depending on the increase in obesity risk, decreasing sperm amount may decrease the chance of having a baby.
According to the sperm sample results of a recent study conducted in South America University on 2500 participants, it was revealed that excess coke consumption decreases sperm quality considerably.
It was observed in the study that young men who drink more than one liter of coke daily have very low sperm quality values. Therefore, to feel colder during hot summer days, cold yoghurt drink or another beverage can provide the same freshness to you and the alternative will not risk your health that much.”
